Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak and Conrad Ricamora. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman also reprise their roles as Lily and Irv from the first film.

The original film was based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel of the same name, following Andy Sachs (Hathaway), a journalism graduate who moved to New York City and lands a very demanding job as junior assistant to Streep’s Miranda Priestly, editor-in-chief of Runway, a high-fashion magazine.

Footage unveiled today show Miranda, who hasn’t lost her bite, softly eviscerating her staffers at an ideas meeting for a failed photo shoot. “The intention was to be dull and listless? … The models were encouraged to mill around like starving goats in the parking lot of a methadone clinic in New Jersey?” she asked.

“Well, I wouldn’t say that was the intention.,” said one staffer.

And “You cant’ say that!,” says another. Times have changed and Miranda needs some backup navigating the new world. Enter Anne Hathaway.
