‘Wild Horse Nine’ Martin McDonagh Movie Set for Fall Release

Oscar winner Martin McDonagh‘s next movie from Searchlight, Wild Horse Nine, is coming out on Nov. 6.

The latest, which he wrote, stars John Malkovich, Sam Rockwell, Steve Buscemi, Mariana di Girolamo, Ailín Salas, with Tom Waits, and Parker Posey in a story set in 1973 Chile and following two CIA agents who face a trust-testing journey from Santiago to Easter Island.

It won’t be shocking if Wild Horse Nine makes a world premiere at one of the fall film festivals: McDonagh’s 2x Oscar winner Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri world premiered at Venice in 2017 in addition to 9x Oscar nominated feature The Banshees of Inisherin in 2022. His movie Seven Psychopaths world premiered at TIFF in 2012.

Graham Broadbent, Pete Czernin, McDonagh and Anita Overland produced the R-rated Wild Horse Nine.

McDonagh won an Oscar for Best Live Action short for Six Shooter in 2006. He’s been nominated for seven Oscars.

Wild Horse Nine on its opening weekend will be up against Warner Bros Animation’s The Cat in the Hat, Sony’s Archangel and GKids’ Godzilla Minus Zero.
